Here's hopin' y'all have a Peavine kind of holiday season.
May it be filled with excitement, joy, and, most of all, peace.
It was the day of long dresses and suspenders when ladies wore their hair in buns and men slicked theirs down with bear grease. When children walked barefoot to school and a teachers day ended sweeping out the one room, school house. A day that folks trusted and loved their neighbors and their Lord, even more.
Travel back with us to the early years of the Twentyth century to Greene County, Tennessee to the logging operation days of the Peavine Railroad to walk shoulder to shoulder with these folks. This site is dedicated to those wonderful, hard-working people. We hope you enjoy the web site and as the Peaviners would say, "Hurry back y'all."
